My 10 year old RPTV consumed around 300 watts. My new LED LCD TV does around 100 watts. I see my purchase as a power consumption reduction by 2.5x-3x, not an increase. I&#039;m sure lots of people are in the same situation, swapping out on old set for a new set of comparable size.]]></description>
