Grand Theft Auto V delayed, arriving September 17

Back in October, Rockstar officially announced a "spring 2013" release window for Grand Theft Auto V. However, the company announced today that they're delaying the game, and will see a solid release date of September 17, 2013. The game will be heading to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but still no word on PC or Wii U availability.

Rockstar didn't give a specific reason for the delay other than "to allow additional development time." The development team apologized for the delay, but said that the extra time needed to polish up the game will be well worth the time for those eagerly waiting. The company says that GTAV "is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require."

Rockstar has been teasing us a good amount throughout these past few months, releasing new screenshots of the game what seems like every other day. They give us a good look at what to expect in the new game, and we're even told that Grand Theft Auto V will feature Rockstar's largest in-game world that they've ever developed.

The game will feature three protagonists, and it takes place in Los Santos, one of the three cities featured in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The upcoming game should hopefully blow all other past installments out of the water. We really like GTAIV, but we're hoping for even more with GTAV, considering it will have the largest in-game world to date.
