Now they have 6 months to actually make Google TV a useful product. Right now, it's not useful at all. It's completely worthless unless you like searching for Call Of Duty videos on YouTube. I've used Google TV.. the product so bad that Logitech said they basically flushed away $100,000,000 on it and were now washing their hands of it. It was awful.

I don't see this happening. At all. I also don't even see an "Apple TV" (besides the current one) coming out as well. It's as if Schmidt is responding to the rumors with total vaporware.

Google's Eric Schmidt and Stanford AI Lab's Sebastian Thrun had invovled into anti-humanity crimes which is fascism by nature.
I bet Stanford people still feel painful on loss of an innocent Stanford student May Zhou without a convincible official explanation till today, so do I. Eric Schmidt and Sebastian Thrun's side had conspired my life when I tried to push to clarify their roles in these crimes, including in May Zhou's case.
As far as I understood, Eric Schmidt and Sebasitan Thrun had tried to cover up their involvment into an innocent Stanford student May Zhou's death on the questionable suicide theory in official conclusion at judicial authorities. However, after I pointed out major flaw of such suicide theory, authorities no longer insist it's suicide, but accept that May Zhou's case is a plotted murder. As I further point out that it is people on Sebastian Thrun and Eric Schmidt's side who murdered May Zhou for Thrun's sake to threaten me and to terrorize Stanford based on later happenings and years of investigation from authorities. Time for Sebastian Thrun and Eric Schmidt to deny such accusations.
Anyway, Eric Schmidt and Sebastian Thrun's names are not clear in Stanford Student May Zhou's death, as well as their later conspiracy on my life, and he dare not deny his involvment into these crimes to the public. Can anyone deny this fact?
What's the problem? I bet that's because they are afraid of facing the legal consequences once they deny these accusations to the public. That is the point.

An they are rumoured to already have a deal with Samsung for Google TV in place.

And Schmidt would not be making these predictions if he did not have knowledge we do not. So I think we can reliable say that Vizio and probably other are all in discussion with Google.

having a software channel (Google TV) can be done today. my Sony TV has a Youtube channel on it. so putting "GoogleTV" on a bunch of TVs in 2012 is no big deal because it requires software only. My TV also has Hulu plus, Amazon, Netflix, etc. and I'm not asking for this stuff, it just shows up because my TV is connected to the internet.

Until they can prove that Google TV has a use beyond Youtube parties I have no idea how he can expect that to happen without a miracle. It's a near-worthless product. I have immediate access to one and I have no idea what the hell to do with it.

I'd buy a TV with Google TV, I'm not so inclined to buy another device to attach to a TV however.
There are far too many components, wires and such. A TV with Google TV would eliminate all of that.
