Not bad, but instead of ongoing visual recognition for those QR codes, there should simply be a little tracker you can put into those gloves (or wear as a wristband or something) that you can pair with the glasses.

Actually I'm of two minds regarding whether this should be a self-contained device or just a tethered headset like handsfree bluetooth. I can't really see myself replacing a smartphone/"phablet" with smartglasses (there, coined a moniker for the new device category ;)) because I sure don't want to talk to my devices all the time like in Star Trek. For most practical applications touch is more efficient than speech although this kind of HUD could be amazing for notifications and info updates.

Now, if we're thinking about the latter - info updates and notifications regarding what's happening in the services you already set up - then IMO it would make much more sense to just having to set up one mobile device and having tethered periphery devices like this use what you already installed and customized. As it is, I already have too many different devices that need updating, synching etc.

Amy,

I fail to see why this would be any more dangerous to use in the car than other devices. I suspect that they would include a "car mode" to limit it to navigation services only...then I'd say it'd be safer than the SatNav we currently stick to the windscreen.
