I think that google+ should change it’s entire marketing strategy and try to appeal to what most of it’s current users are doing which is using it as a better twitter. It is basically like twitter with the option of commenting, no character limits, no content limits. Once they gain the user interest in those following circles, the facebook aspect will come naturally because people will realize that they can do it all in one place.

I spend quite a bit of time on it too but I can see where this stat comes from. I know a lot of people who are signed up but have barely used it.

Not sure where they are getting their stats, maybe Facebook.
I spend an average of 2 to 3 hours a day on Google+.
