Google has had its eye on the mobile phone industry for some time now. However, aside from putting their search engine and Gmail on phones. Now they have shown interest in WiMAX technologies.

Sprint hearts Google

We already know that Sprint has teamed up with Clearwire to create the largest 4G WiMAX network in the US. Now they have signed a deal with Google to “optimize the internet experience for the digital lifestyle.”

Unfortunately, neither company has released any further details on the partnership. Google has only said that they promise a “rich and compelling broadband experience for WiMAX customers.”
