There's no doubt that these new features could impress a lot of of you but I discover this cool smartphone app called Talker that’s eyes-free and hands-free and safe for the road. It's a free smartphone app that's voice-controlled, and reads your emails aloud to you. Cool!

Apple wouldn't allow google now, cause it would make Siri look like shit. They already did a test and found out that Siri is twice as likely to give the wrong information compared to the google one. Poor apple users have to keep getting the crap version of everything. Maps, cameras and now the voice thing. Let's not forget the crummy build of iPhone 5 as well. Ha ha, and you pay to dollar for it as well.

I was already a fan of the Google Search app on my iPhone 5. I performed several searches with Siri and with Google Search. GS definitely ended up being more helpful than Siri and faster too. For example, when asking 'where is Kathmandu' Google informed me it was in Nepal and threw up a map and some helpful links, while Siri showed me a map location listing the Nepalese zone where the city is located but failing to note the country. This isn't terribly surprising; I'd expect nothing less from the first name in search.

Siri excels at initiating phone calls or sending texts while I'm driving, setting alarms and reminders and other phone tasks. With simple searches (how old is Cher) that reference Wolfram Alpha or similar, it's quite prompt. Google Search will definitely remain my go-to search app, however. But...with William Stasior now heading the Siri unit I have high hopes that Siri will soon be just as helpful when it comes to providing information I want quickly about the world around me.
