Google Search adds rental car reservation reminder

Google has been rolling out updates for Search fairly regularly, and latest among them is one that will help frequent travelers: rental car reservation reminders. The update is for mobile users, and works with voice commands.

The new feature announcement was made on Twitter today, and though it doesn't come with many details, it seems it will work with any Google search user who has rental car booking confirmations sent to their related Gmail account.

Asking Google Search, "When is my rental car reservation?" will pull up a card with the details you're looking for: the name of the rental company, the car that has been reserved (or the type of car, perhaps), as well as the name of the person who made it, the booking number, and on which dates it is supposed to be picked up and dropped off.

This follows last week's Google Now update that brought bill reminder cards that work in much the same way. With that feature, users will be offered up cards reminding them of bills that are upcoming (assuming they're sent to the Gmail account), providing information like amount due and the due date.
