Unfortunately that's exactly what I didn't want to hear. I understand that Google doesn't want to upset the partners they have in Samsung and HTC who are making terrific phones.. But still as a customer I would like a choice between a vanilla Android experience or Touchwiz or Sense

Motorola's skin over Android is a badly written piece of buggy software that either needs to be scrapped completely or massively updated. It is also often used as an excuse not to update phones that are less than 18 months old because they claim (often falsely) that the newer versions of Android won't fit on the phones if they include their skin (which nobody asked for and we don't want). If Motorola won't even update phones that are less than 12 months old to newer versions of Android you drive repeat customers away!

Motorola needs to improve its software and customer service (i.e. OS updates), while using Google's Billion$ to keep their hardware competitive with the competition.
