As someone who doesn't like fun, I opt out of OpenFeint and the like for any mobile game that I have played. I don't need to share my scores from "Angry Birds: Space Parrots at the Beach for Valentines Day" with my friends. The only time that I open a game on my phone is when I'm using the toilet. Notifications of my in-game status or progress will serve only to alert my contacts of my healthy bowels.

I love Google products but they have a tendency to put their hands in everything and finish nothing. So many of their efforts are half baked I think because of this tendency to try to be all things to all people. They need to take the time to develop their products/services and continue developing them after their release. This constant beta half baked approach to everything (Google Music is on my mind at this moment) is not serving them well.
