Google Nexus S arrives in UK: £430 SIM-free or free on contract

The Google Nexus S has gone on sale in the UK today, with the Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone available to order online as well as in "key" Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy stores. Priced at £429.99 SIM-free - after a price-cut this weekend - or free with a new, £30 per month agreement, the Nexus S has a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, NFC and a 5-megapixel camera, and, as we suggested in our full review, may well be the best Android device on the market today.

If you're planning to pick one up from your nearest Carphone Warehouse or Best Buy store, we'd recommend ringing ahead first; only "key" locations will have on-site stock, and there's no official list to tell you which those are. Every other store will have to order you a Nexus S and arrange for either in-store or home delivery.
