G+ is the first Social Network that I felt like using and it also happens to be convenient as it is just a quick inviting click away from my gmail tab.

My experience of facebook was that it was too 'noisy' and I didn't really feel like I was making good or interesting use of my time in using it. It is possible that G+ will eventually end up giving me that same feeling, but for now the makeup of users means that I find a lot of interesting shop talk ( I am a webdev ) and science related discussions that tend towards a high quality of discourse.

While I found that twitter could offer good leads on interesting reading or the occasional funny 1-2 liner the facilities for interacting with other people around that seemed limited, I honestly would go weeks or months without having a peek at the firehose of tweets.

I had the same experience, but instead I just started using G+ anyway, making posts, sending links when I uploaded photos to those who didn't have G+ accounts but who I knew would be interested in my photos. The result was people I know started engaging a bit more. I guess someone in your circle of friends has to be the trendsetter, so it might as well be you. Just give it time.

I love g+ but nobody I know seems interested in using it. For now I just use it as a better twitter. There are actually some really engaging conversations in the comments. This, however, is another step towards the only way g+ has a chance of taking down facebook. Make it so convenient that it doesn't make sense to use anything else.

People google information all the time, it only makes sense to take the one click route to share it. Imagine making dinner plans with someone, finding the restaurant on google maps, then just clicking a share button to send the restaurant address with a message about what time to go to everyone going.
