The hour Masands gave the site is about what most will give it. I did the same thing. Signed up and found it boring. So there is nothing of interest yet. Facebook is vulnerable though so with a little effort we may see some gains. Getting people to sign up for a free membership is a small gain, and I am sure Google will want more than that.

The way making groups in G+ is much more intuitive and simple than it is in Facebook. Facebook still doesn’t have an easy way to sort my friends into groups and allow me to filter my content according to those groups. This is where G+ excels.

The more important number is how many ACTIVE users are on the service and what “analysts” are using as a time frame to determine ACTIVE users. Daily sign ins? Weekly? Monthly? The more frequent the logins, the more likely there is to be useful activity. So far, most people I wasted my invites on have not used Google+. When asked why, they feel Facebook still does “it” better, whether “it” refers to what they specifically use Facebook for or just the overall social network experience. They’d rather use a mature service, even with its overt intrusiveness.

I was lucky enough to get an early G+ invitation. I don’t get spam, I only see comments from people I’ve “circled”. What insufficient tools?

I’ve been using it daily since the Facebook changes, the changes aren’t a big deal, but I see more value in the privacy options with Google Circles. Like anything new, there is a learning curve. Some say something new is good for the brain, right?

Well I just created an account because the stupid arrow kept bugging me on Google search. Its crap to be honest and I havent used it since.
