Google Maps Engine Pro unveiled for business mapping needs

Google has introduced a new tool aimed at helping businesses map their data on Maps: Google Maps Engine Pro. With the tool comes the ability to important important data, such as the location of business offices, as well as sharing information, with Google Maps. The tool is built upon Google Maps Engine, hence the name.

With Google Maps Engine Pro, businesses can import information including addresses, sales leads, and more in a variety of file formats based on need. The information shows up on Google Maps, where the company can then adjust the data as necessary, analyze it as a visual aid, and share the mapped company data with relevant parties.

Beyond the launch of this tool, Google Maps Engine platform has been graced with a few new features, among them being a mobile app for access on a handset or slate to maps one has created, regardless of whether Pro or Lite was used. Only Android is supported, however. In addition, Connector Tools have been added, allowing legacy system data to be migrated.

And perhaps to draw in more customers, an introductory account has also been added to let businesses new to the platform experiment with whether the Maps Engine is applicable to its needs. All the system's capabilities are available on the account, but Google limits how many queries are allowed daily.
