Google Maps adds +Snippets feature

Google recently launched a +snippets feature that makes it easy for users to visit a webpage and then share it with their Google+ circles. Today, the search giant has brought the feature to Google Maps, making it easy to share directions as well.

The +snippets feature works almost like a screenshot of what you see in your current window. For instance, it makes it convenient if you're planning a road trip and want to share your route with your Google+ circles or if you're suggesting a set of directions or points of interest with fellow travelers.

When you're viewing a page that you want to share, simply click on the "Share" button on the Google+ bar at the top of page. Whatever you see in the Maps area will appear in the sharebox for you to type a message and choose which friends or circles to share with.

The features is already available to Google Books, Offers, and Product Search, and will be rolled out to more Google products soon. Publishers can also customize the +snippet feature for their websites.
