All humor aside - sometime in the next 50 years 3 billion people are going to want the American way of life - the way that they see has cars in it. Three problems: 1) Most of these people don&#039;t know how to drive; 2) If any part of peak oil is true - Detroit cannot fill that need with big, heavy cars that get low (&lt;500 MPG) mileage; 3) If any part of global warming is true, ditto.

Very light, self driving cars (see Shell Eco-Marathon - 2,500MPG and up) are the answer and the core of a business opportunity measured in the hundreds of billions of dollars.]]></description>
