Apple gets involved in all of this because they are most prominently abusing the recently introduced and highly controversial software and design patents.
Before, it was not possible to patent behaviour patterns like slide to unlock. A key element to all patents is prior art. Slide to unlock has been around since before Apple applied to and was granted the patent. Apple has in all the court cases not won a single injunction based on TECHNOLOGY, only design, and to that end using designs some had been around for longer than Apple even existed, look at tablet computers used in many Sci-Fi movies from "2001" to Demolition Man. Most recent steal was the unlock to camera introduced with ICS.

So if you want to go smart on patents laws, their history and intention, you should probably do better research instead of calling people small-brained. Especially with the poor way the granting of patents in the US is handled. Patents were originally introduced to enable an inventor to live off his invention and further development for the good of all. Apple however uses them to exclude competitors from market for its own sole benefit.

Take the iPad. Any consumer wealthy enough to buy one can be considered smart enough to do research in the device he wants to buy. The iPads still rule the flock of tablets in many respects, so it can sefly be considered most customers will still choose the ipad. So why lock out competition from the market if most customers would still choose their product? Monopoly.

And this is exactly where the intention of patent law goes amiss. Just imagine Diesel, Otto and Daimler had the same patent law situation. You could only buy one brand of cars because of the patented "kick/wheel interface" and terrific idea of an internal combustion engine. Patent laws were not intended to monopolize.

I am amazed that for all the shit stuff like this apple still gets involved even if they aren't.

Apple seems to really have that much influence. Even to individuals like you.

Can't you think of some other reason? Or perhaps do a research why someone created the patent system in the past. That's probably way way before apple was founded. But i bet your small-sized brain will find a link between apple and the patent system's creation.

Right, but Apples recent foray into the court room is what caused all these companies to start patent grabbing. It is honestly why Google has pushed so hard to acquire Motorola.
It doesn't really matter if Microsoft has a patent on this already. Our patent system is broken so badly that if Google's patent is 95% the same and only 5% original that 5% will qualify it as a new and original patent. It's Apples "and one" patent strategy being adopted by Google for a preemptive IP land grab.
