According to The Wall Street Journal, Google is in talk to acquire YouTube. Google plans to spend $1.6 billion dollars on the acquisition. Google has not been doing very well on the video market with only 11% of market shares as opposed to youTube who pilled in close to 50% of the market shares. The talk is still in early stage; it is far from being finalized and might not even materialized, however if the deal works out, Google will be the leading video sites on the Internet.
