I think it the right thing google is doing. People need to be more mature in the use of the internet and more careful with what information/pictures they place on the internet. By letting everyone know that what they do place on the internet will be visible people will be more careful with placing pictures and comments.

A girlfriend of mine placed pictures on Facebook and set the permission so that only friends are able to see them. But when she searches on google for her name they are still showing up. Lucky for her she doesn't have anything to hide. But it means that what ever you place on the internet won't be easy to take down (probably is there for ever) and might always have a change of being leaked.

We shouldn't rely on on the permissions of some site, but be more careful on what information we share with people because there is always a way they can leak out..

By making people use their real names people will make sure they won't post anything which can be negatively related to them.
