If you read Google’s new policies on Skydrive, you’ll see that everything you dump in there now belongs to them, even after you close your account.

Google’s good products but its for kids - anyone who marks up word docs knows that when they see all their redline changes disappear and the excel files full of non-existent cell references. Not for me. (And Google’s take on privacy, just where I’m NOT putting all my stuff. too creepy. slowly weaning myself off their platforms. too bad. the MS stuff is coming around. tho. Also don’t want 25gb of files automatically put on my phone – prefer Live Mesh – i can choose which devices I want to sync, and add skydrive for cloud storeage.

I can keep a flash drive with me. If I choose to use it I’ve got the free 25gb from SkyDrive. Plus Dropbox too. Now if only I could remember where I put what where…

How does this integrate with the storage I am already paying Google for? I pay $5 a year right now for 20 gigs of storage for picasa(which I also believe rolls over to my gmail and google apps storage as well). If i’m only gaining an app and a nice gui I think i’ll pass.

for the box you have several options just check out the application section, also they have apps as Ms Office plugin in purpose of direct sync from software to cloud.

I suppose mileage may vary. Personally, I think Microsoft’s versions of office-based file editing in the cloud is horrible. It’s pretty sad to see Microsoft fail so hard at something they use to be king at.

Works with Google app accounts?
I just installed SkyDrive for windows 7 yesterday and im pretty impressed. 25gb of free space is just too tempting.
I have 50gb of box space but they dont have PC integration which ruins the experience. I’ve tried uploading HD pics and the browser upload would crash

So far SkyDrive is the best experience followed by dropbox.

I wonder what google will do differently. Google docs is pretty great but the excel part sucks.
