How can we trust Google after the spate of serious privacy thefts Google has admitted to (and tried to correct).

MANY PEOPLE DON'T TRUST GOOGLE ANYMORE, especially since their ENTIRE business model is based on collecting bits of information from everywhere AND FROM EVERYONE. Google makes money when they can use or sell that data. No data, no money for Google.

So I don't believe they will give up money -- I do believe they will use more DECEPTIVE practices to make us think they're violating our privacy, but will continue to collect the data. They will stop SHOWING targeted ads for people who've "supposedly opted-out" using these extensions, but I'm sure they'll still collect the raw data (and use it internally in more complex ways to profile your web usage).

Few people know about the privacy issues with Google's Android. If anyone reads (and understands the legal consequences in) the revised Privacy agreements (contracts that EVERY ANdroid user is forced to agree/accept/sign) -- they will understand why the Android OS is given away for free.

Google gets more data from EVERY Android user than they can afford to pay for, so now they get it all for FREE. You people have been giving Google (and your mobile carriers, who collect it for Google, per their agreement) lots of details about yourselves. Data such as your phone numbers & that of all your friends, family, contacts, business associates, etc... the gps locations of your house, work, school, family, friends, etc... EVERYWHERE you go (where your phone goes, when it's On), every text/SMS/MMS/e-mail you send (and to whom), every such msg you receive, every phone call you make/receive, your home network's user ID & security settings, your account ID & passwords (if you access them on your Android device), your credit card info & birthdate & address (if you enter them on any app/website from your Android device)... ENOUGH FOR YOUR IDENTITY TO BE STOLEN.

And all of you have legally given Google the rights to this data for free without their having to notify you or ask you (when you use your "free" Android device). GO AND READ THE MANY AGREEMENTS AND "TERMS OF USE" YOU'VE ALREADY SIGNED WHEN YOU SETUP YOUR DEVICE.

Other companies/devices (e.g. Windows mobile & iOS) do not make you sign such rights away, as Android/Google require. So legally Microsoft or Apple can't collect your data, but Google CAN (and as we saw last year, they do).

You have nothing to worry about now, but that data WILL come back to expose you in 10 years. Even Facebook collects such data from its users -- and Google & Facebook NEVER delete your data (even after you delete stuff or close your account). They won a court case last year that allows them to keep your data if it's backed up by them on "archives" -- which they're allowed to go back to to re-retrieve your info.

BEWARE OF GOOGLE!!!
