what does a president have to do with individual achievement of MR NOYCE? let us celebrate an achiever and forget about politics after all if know your economics well you would understand Obama walked into a mess he cannot come out from and all that was left for him is using his Quantitative Easing (QEn(n=1,2,3…X) all these means the death of a currency. Yet that does not take away personal entrepreneurship. Mr. Noyce wound not settle for a discouraging administration in his former job but decided to move on into co founding intel. If you think you have no accolade to your name because of Obama. wait until he gets off probably next year so you can invent your own micro”sheep”.

What are we celebrating? A man who made a bug? check out that pic that’s a bug! ….Sorry I forgot that not everyone has a sense of humor. That bug makes just everything we have today work the way they do and miniaturization began with it otherwise we would still have Main frames(Computers as big as a room)… Therefore may Bob Noyce be greatly remembered. Let us all stand up for a moment of aplause!

Great celebration for the Man, all but the Doodle Artist should have been allowed to use a photo of say an old RCA or maybe a 1702 memory chip. This composite illustration has so many errors in it; maybe it was a pic of an Elbonian prototype.

As an Intel engineer, this is a bit of an honor to see the Google Doodle pasted up there for all to see, in celebration of Dr Noyce. Although my entrance to the manufacturing might of Intel was 7 years after his passing – his legacy continues. 21 years later, we still see innovation on a record pace. Now back to making those i5′s and i7′s….!!!

Steve Jobs Had Little to do with The Processor He was technological Genius in his own right however this is Mr. Noyces Day let’s not also forget that without Mr. Noyce Steve Jobs would not have a processor to begin with and we would not have the advances we have now in technology and many others like him

I think its great that they celebrate Robert Noyce’s birthday but I don’t recall seeing anything celebrating the life of one of the most brilliant inventors and most influencial men in technological history…Steve Jobs!!!

Kudos to Robert Noyce and Grant Gale. Grinnell College is an understated academic powerhouse with many undersung alum including Harry Hopkins–chief designer of the New Deal–to Gary Cooper, Herbie Hancock, Nathaniel S. Borenstein–who helped create MIME protocol for sending multiple emails–and Marshall Poe whose commentary about Wikipedia hits the nail on the head.

Gale, introduced his class to two of the first transistors from Bell Labs (c.1947).
That spark set off an unquenchable fire. If you know a teacher that has inspired a

I might be showing my age here, but I have experienced designing circuits with the very first commercially available microprocessor and spent a lot of time in my electronics apprenticeship testing Integrated Circuits and getting to know the difference between TTL (Transistor Transistor Logic) and CMOS (Complimentary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) in circuits. I worked extensively with Intel, Texas Instruments and Fairchild semiconductors. I guess I was some kind of a pioneer, if only to build electronic circuits that used the first of their type.
