I was an early Android adopter and avid podcast listener. In the last year, the updates stopped coming for the Listen app and I should have taken that as a sign that Google was no longer interested in developing the app. It's too bad really b/c the app had a lot of promise and was how I listened to most of my podcasts. For a variety of reasons, I have switched to an iPhone now and as luck would have it Apple has created their own podcast app that is amazing. I can't help but think that these moves on either company's part provide some insight about the kinds of apps they develop as their own and what that means about their plans for their platforms.
