I guess I don’t understand why there would need to be a gmail app. I currently have three gmail accounts running under the native iOS mail app, along with my work email and a hotmail account that I set up in the 90′s (before MS purchased them) and still use as a “spam” account.

Why would I need to wait YEARS for the “official” gMail app?

I can already use the built-in gMail account… or other apps.
