"...Consumers seem willing to pay a little more for movie tickets to enjoy 3D with glasses for a couple of hours..."

Hi,

Negative. Every movie ticket went up because of this BS gimmick. It now cost $10 for 1 person to see a movie here in Columbia, SC at the theater. 3D is now $12.

So yes it cost a little bit more but because the industry "had to" put some "much" money into "inventing" 3D the customer has to pay for it now, weather you watch 3D or not.

Of course the industry will say that's because of piracy but that is total BS too. The industry as a whole is doing the best it has ever done, ever!!

Anyways, I saw Avatar first in non 3D and twice in 3D and I could not see any real difference. Just a little bit but not even close to be worth the extra cash. Personally I thought it was pretty lame!! I'm 26 years old so yes I am the market the industry is after with this hype. So if it fails on me then good luck. Seeing as I am the geek of the neighborhood you can be sure no one I know will be paying extra anytime soon for crappy 3D. Glasses or not!!

Take Care,
