Gigabyte's Sandy Bridge P67A-UD3R, P67A-UD3 and H67MA-UD2H motherboards previewed

Gigabyte has come clean on its upcoming 6 Series motherboards, designed for Intel's "Sandy Bridge" second-gen Core processors.  Three new 'boards have been previewed – the Gigabyte P67A-UD3R, P67A-UD3 and H67MA-UD2H – each with an Intel 6-series chipset for LGA 1155 processors; there's also USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gbps as standard, and CrossFireX graphics support.

The three mainboards use Gigabyte's Ultra Durable 3 design with twin Copper PCBs for improved cooling and stability; there's also higher powered USB ports for charging more juice-hungry gadgets like the iPad.  The P67A-UD3R has a distinctive matte-black PCB, four DDR3 memory slots, two PCI-e x16 slots, and Gigabyte's own DualBIOS system for failure protection.

Meanwhile the Gigabyte P67A-UD3 has the same DualBIOS tech but gets a blue PCB, while the Gigabyte H67MA-UD2H is a micro-ATX board (the other two are ATX sized) with a few less PCI-e slots but plenty of other connectivity: HDMI, D-Sub, DisplayPort and DVI for a start, driven from integrated Intel HD graphics.

No word on launch dates from the company itself, though Intel expects its first Sandy Bridge based Core series chips to arrive in early 2011 so we're guessing the 6 Series motherboards will drop at around the same time.  All of Gigabyte's preview details are in the gallery below.
