Gigabyte Technology has decided to throw their hat into the ring with other UMPC makers with their own U60 model.

Not a lot of information is known about it at this time. We do know that it’s going to run off of a VIA C7-M processor and partnering with Chunghwa Telecom to provide 3G/3.5G service for the UMPC.
The U60 is set to be released in Taiwan on May 22, and to the rest of the world sometime in the second half of the year. Gigabyte is also expected to release a second UMPC sometime in the second half of the year.

First spotted back in March at CeBIT, the U60 is also parading around various parts of the world as the Medion UMPC, Tango Wings, and Haier X6 (in modified form).
