Getac ships F110 rugged tablet with Intel Core i5-4300U CPU and 11.6-inch screen

Getac has rolled out a new rugged tablet called the F110. The new tablet is now shipping and it is designed to be rugged enough to survive the daily grind and to offer enough performance for mobile workers. The tablet is available with Windows 8 Pro or Windows 7 Pro for the operating system.

Two versions are offered with the base tablet running an Intel Core i5-4300U 1.9 GHz processor. The higher performance version of the tablet runs the Intel Core i7-4600U operating at 2.1GHz. Both versions of the tablet use Intel HD 4400 graphics.

The tablets have an 11.6-inch screen with a resolution of 1366 x 768 with 800-nit brightness rating. The screen is designed to be sunlight readable. Storage options for the tablet include a 128GB SSD and a 256GB SSD. The tablet has 4GB of RAM.

The RAM can be expanded up to 8GB. An optional HD webcam is available as well as an optional 5MP rear camera. The screen supports capacitive multi-touch and features an optional dual mode touchscreen supporting multi-touch and a digitizer. A memory card slot is built in for storage expansion and the tablet can be fitted with a 1D/2D barcode reader. LTE mobile connectivity is optional as is GPS with Bluetooth and 802.11ac WiFi both standard. Pricing is unannounced at this time. The F110 tablet was announced in October and is now shipping.
