I had an app that did that once (I think it was also a text messaging app), and I was ready to throw my phone through the wall. Thank god that was a feature that could be disabled, or I suuure wouldn’t be using Handcent anymore for text messaging, that’s for sure.
Doubly silly in Handcent’s case, since it notifies you properly in the the notification bar anyway.

Get this girl another text messaging client – STAT.
