Besides, why would you ever spend money on a PC when the hardware is simply the cheapest parts they could get in mass quantity put into a pretty box.

Apple has a history of building fine pieces of machinery, with cost proportional to design. Motherboard, memory, video, chipsets and the like don’t change from week to week like most other vendors who again are just parting systems together with the largest quantity of cheap parts they could get.

Apple’s iMac offering is much higher quality, cost effective and can run MS Windows if you don’t prefer OS X (which is far superior, and only causes MS to imitate as well).

Now, look at Apple as an investment. Show me a PC with a good resell value. I sell every Mac I have ever owned a good 1, 2 or even 3 years later and can walk in with that cash plus 3 – 5 bills and walk out with the brand new current revision.

Essentially every 2 years spending a few hundred dollars and you are always using a top of the line machine.

PC people, spend that every year and end up with piles of useless junk.

Although the iMac entry Model only has the HD2400 Graphics Card inside, starting at $1.199,
I have to say the $199 extra, on top of the Gateway Pricetag, receiving a faster Processor, maybe also a bit more Harddrive Space and same Graphicscard are well spent money when you think of Dual Boot Capability, able to run MacOSX and Windows on an iMac.

And it is takes much less space, while it floats in the air, with some space underneath to place the Keyboard underneath, while not needed is especially for those small Dorm Desks and big plus.

It is all about personal taste. Not everyone thinks cheese is good right?
