I agree with the article, but as a good overall computer for everyday needs it is definitive. I have had mine for over a year now and have kept it relatively clean ( using about 60 of 452 available gigabytes: it came with a 500 gigabyte hard drive) mostly keeping photos, music, games and videos. I only have one real computer game ( the rest are for my iPod) which is call of duty. Playing it in career mode is agonizingly slow compared to multi-player mode which is awesomely fast as long as you have good internet connection. The Blu-ray player is beautiful but the screen has much more potential to show better graphics especially when they market this computer for it's graphics. I would recommend that you buy the extended warranty and have a store employee set up your computer for ease of usage unless of course you just want to get it home but it's also good for when your battery will fail. A battery is about $150 and a warranty for two years is about $250 (from best buy). Anyways a good computer for any regular computer user.

One of the best laptops i have ever had. Previously, i had IBM workhorse T61, hp, compag, asus, but this one is best bargain for money. Bought it last year and since then, we bought 3 laptops in the family but i still prefer to hold on to this due the fact that it has the powerful processor, graphic card and sufficient ram and LED LCD. I can load all bunch of programming softwares and still never felt a lag in performance. Downside is battery, with in year, my battery refuse to charge more than 34%, i am waiting for it to die completely before buying a new one.

Bought ours Jan 2011 and have enjoyed the performance. No issues, fast enought for surfing the web, screen resolution is good viewing and a hard drive that will take a while for us to fill us. Keyboard could be a bit larger, but objectively, not a deal breaker or enough to wish I had not bought it. Satisfied Custormer in the land of tax-free shopping (Delaware).

Awesome notebook.
I just bought one for US$250.00 and i think "I" ripped the guy off ^_^
It's blindingly fast, the i3 processor is amazing and it runs COD Black Ops!!!
There's nothing I could want more for my everyday laptop, including the BLU ray player. It's better than the average laptop by far.

We just bought ours 5 months ago. From the time we bought it to this day, the computer showed 3x computer crash warning. We were force to bring it back to where we bought it. I had an old cimpaq which never showed this crashing notice. We had a good support. Although this gateway thing is really faster but sounds is not as our old compaq. Right now Best Buy geek will look into this crashing problem. Will update you.

I think you're selling this notebook a tad short, I've had nothing but good experiences from this notebook. Running 600,000 rows of data analysis while at the same time watching a movie and I experienced zero lag on either end. I do agree however on the downfall of no bluetooth... Frustrating when my bluetooth headset and wireless tethering are not an option. Gateway has had its fair share of duds, hoever this notebook isn't among them, especially considering the price.

I like it. Not much of a gaming machine, but it will run LFD2 on High, no complaints with the bluray, works good and works well with a HDMI cord attached to the HDTV- and I can even do some email, surfing without slowing things down while a Blu-Ray is playing. My only complaint is that the display is not full HD (1366x768).
