Gateway has 2 new computers coming out, GM5664 and GT5662

The GM5664 and GT5662 both have AMD Phenom processors with AMD Live! Both computers also have an nVidia GeForce 6150 SE chipset, but an ATI Radeon HD 2400XT graphics card, however much sense that makes.

They also both have 3 gigs of DDR2, 6 USB ports, 7.1 HD audio, USB powered amplified speakers, Windows Elite keyboard, Windows Optical mouse, and Vista Home Premium operating system. They both also have Gateway Portable Media Drive Bay's and 15-in-1 card readers, but where they differentiate is what really matters.

First off, the GM5664 has the Phenom 9600 processor running at 2.3GHz with 2MB of L3 cache and a 3600MHz system bus. It also has 1TB of storage, an analog/digital TV tuner, and a hybrid Blu-Ray/HD-DVD player as well as a SuperMulti format DVD-RW DL drive and the 15-in-on card reader in this computer has an IR receiver built in and a Smart Copy button for the card readers.

The GT5662 is a slightly more budget minded PC, but doesn't skimp on much. The processor is the Phenom 9500 processor with the same specs as the 9600, its just 100MHz slower, this PC also halves the storage space to 500GB and loses the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray drive and settles on just a SuperMulti drive with Labelflash technology. Sadly this computer also loses the TV tuner, but the performance should be on par with the other computer, just minus the extra Media-centric features.

These are both available now from a few different retail outlets, one of them being Best Buy. If you want one, the GM5664 is $1149 and the GT5662 is $749.99.
