I just brought an IPad, and its junk…plus if you want to do anything half decent its a pricy app to do it… would be much nicer with linux or android on it…

cant wait for a decent android tablet, then i can give this to my 3 year old to play with..

I completely agree with you that it will not take much to dethrone iPad if there are tablets running Honeycomb and above over the next year (we may yet see other tablets with different operating systems do extremely well considering what we’ve been shown so far), with excellent hardware and great pricing. I disagree with you about the 7″ size being ideal. I think that the 9-12″ sizes are much better for overall media consumption and productivity, but that is where consumer choice will come into play.

At least the non-Apple tablet manufacturers are giving people more choices. That is a good thing. I just hope that developers are really given the tools to scale their apps as necessary.

Pretty much anything that run Honeycomb mob the floor. I own an iphone 3g when it first came out and got bored within the next year. Android gave me so much for customization and for that I never really gotten tired of Android. Why would anyone buy a giant iPod touch? Even with the current 2.2 Android, you can customize it to look nothing like a phone OS. I can’t say the same to the competition.

Well, since the Samsung Tab took something like 20% to 25% of the market away form the iPad in one quarter and is a 7″ “phone tablet” I think just about any decent Android Honeycomb tablet will dethrone the iPad–Samsung Tab 2, Xoom, G-Tablet, etc, Asus Transformer, etc. . .

Personally I think the tablets around 7″ are the better size–more portable while still having enough screen real estate but I have to say the Asus Transformer looks great.
