Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) lands in Germany next month

German Samsung tablet fans will have a new tablet to check out starting in June called the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016). The tablet has a 10.1-inch screen with a native resolution of 1920 x 1200. It's a thin tablet at 8.2mm thick and weighs 525g making it very portable while still offering lots of screen space. The operating system is Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box.

The processor is a 1.6GHz octa-core unit paired with 2GB of RAM. WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS are supported. The tablet can operate on wireless networks supporting GSM 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS 850/900/1900/2100 LTE 800/850/900/1800/2100/2300/2600 HSPA + 42 / 5.76 Mbit / s LTE Cat. 4 150/50 Mbit /s. The tablet measures 155.3 x 254.2 x 8.2mm and has a 7300 mAh internal battery.

The front camera is a 2MP unit with F2.2 aperture and the rear camera is an 8MP unit with F1.9 aperture, autofocus, and flash. The camera can record video in full HD resolution. Internal storage is 16GB of eMMC that can be expanded to 200GB via microSD cards. Out of the internal storage space, 9.2GB is available to the user.

Recently specifications for a tablet that is expected in the US called the Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced leaked. That tablet is rumored to feature a 10.1-inch screen, but with mediocre 1280 x 800 resolution. It has a 1.6GHz processor according to rumors with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Power for that tablet is tipped as a 6800 mAh battery and it has a 5MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front camera. The tablet sounds very mid-range and we will have to wait until the official announcement to hear just what the tablet offers.
