Galaxy S5 and Gear 2 SDKs launch at MWC 2014 Developer Day

Samsung has announced that it has launched the SDKs for two of its new products at MWC 2014 Developer Day. The SDKs that have launched are for the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Gear 2 smartwatch. Samsung has held its Developers Day conference at MWC since 2011.

Samsung's Gear 2 SDK is based on Tizen and was unveiled for the first time to the public at the show. A Gear Fit SDK for the Samsung Gear Fit device was unveiled at the conference as well. Along with those SDKs, Samsung also rolled out Mobile SDK 1.4 that features finger scanning tech for the Galaxy S5.

The Samsung mobile SDK also offers improved motion detection functionality and multi-screen technology. That multi-screen tech is aimed at allowing the build of apps that can operate on the TV and mobile devices at the same time.

Samsung's S Health SDK was also unveiled to developers. The S Health app is able to use the health information that is gathered by sensors that are embedded in different Samsung mobile devices. Check out our hands on with the Galaxy S5 smartphone for more details on that device.
