This week the folks at Samsung Lebanon have not only confirmed the existence of the next-generation Samsung Galaxy IV, they've suggested a release date as well. Responding innocently to a question on the brand's Facebook page, Samsung noted that "The Galaxy SIV won't be released before May 2013." They also suggested that what they'd said was no secret, and that everyone know that Samsung releases devices according to a basic schedule.
This sort of release is not unheard of in our modern always-connected social networking universe, but it's certainly not planned out as much as, say, an official PR blast is. In other words, even if some sleuths out there in the Samsung fan universe had figured out that the next-generation Samsung hero smartphone would be coming out after May without a doubt, Samsung itself (even Lebanon) confirming a detail such as this is important to the ravenous Android Community.
The second massive push that the Samsung Lebanon Facebook page made note of is the fact that what they said was no secret - or so they thought:
What we said is only trivial since all Galaxy S series are released between late April and Early May, yet there's no way for anyone to know the exact release date :-)" - Samsung Lebanon
With that, we turn you to the timeline below where several other Samsung Galaxy S IV tips, leaks, or otherwise radical rumors have been reported. Are you using the Samsung Galaxy S III now? Will you be planning on flipping upward by the time May rolls around? How about the end of April - is that soon enough for you?
