Well, Samsung has reported in the past that the S3 will feature a 1.5-GHz quad-core Exynos processor, keeping up with its competition iPhone 5!
Is it going to run on the Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, boast a 4.7 inches Super AMOLED touchscreen plus display with 1280 x 720 resolution as said in Aneesoft, just let we waiting for it!

Slashgear FAIL… Samsung already put out a lengthy press release saying it s a quad core, 32nm, A9 in the Galaxy S3.

@CoreDuo08:disqus It’s not just the Core architecture. Memory bandwidth, nand storage performance, etc. Those are all key factors in overall performance. Like i said before no one really knows if this is a dual core or a quad core setup to begin with. What if it’s the Exynos5 labeled as exynos 4?

The dual-core S4 doesn’t smoke the Tegra 3 on the Antutu, see the results of HTC One X (Tegra 3) vs HTC One S (S4).

Yes, is A9 (4 cores, plus 1 companion core for small taks/battery saving proposes).

Well the dual-core S4 smokes the Tegra 3, but the S4 is more akin to A15 than an A9 chip, from my understanding. I’d say who knows. Tegra 3 is A9 isn’t it?

Well yes, but doubling performance per clock using the same core architecture? That doesn’t seem likely. Especially since die shrinking and power optimizations simply make it so that you can increase the clock speed without breaking the power budget. Performance per clock doesn’t change since it’s still a Cortex A9. I’m also not doubting pre-production prototypes being gimped, but this is just odd.

Even if someone faked the metadata to look like a GSIII, which I suppose you could do by messing with the build.prop, where are you getting the hardware that’s smoking the Transformer Prime?

I think this is fake, i don’t believe that Samsung could launch the Galaxy S3 with a dual-core A9 at this time… the previous leaks points to a quad-core processor -
Exynos 4414.

This also could be one of the samples used for tests…

Well the thing about CPU fabrication, it’s not all about the Ghz or the die size

There are other factors such as fabrication technic that can provide the performance boost and efficiency

Btw, Galaxy S II sample shown around MWC last year was significantly underperforming when compared against the Production release. (Maybe they did it on purpose)

That’s interesting. I wonder what else is going on inside that chip to have such a substantial leap over Tegra 3 using dual Cortex A9 cores. That would represent a massive jump in per clock performance since Tegra 3 is a quad A9 clocked at 1.4GHz. That is of course assuming that Samsung didn’t go an extra mile to hide the real CPU string by programming them with one for a different piece of silicon in the engineering samples. Otherwise these benchmarks don’t make any sense.

They do have a graphics portion but it’s not hugely graphics dependent

Out of curiosity, is AnTuTu a more CPU or GPU bound benchmark? I understand that Samsung is using a 32nm HKMG process for the 4212 which allows them to crank the clocks up, but it’d be more useful to see whether the gains are more substantial based on the higher CPU clock or the higher GPU clock. The CPU clock is known to be 1.4-1.5 GHz, but the GPU clock is currently unknown, estimated to be at least 440MHz based on code in the Galaxy S II’s kernel.
