I believe Samsung has released the Galaxy Nexus to Verizon but Verizon wants to do there usual crippling job by adding there crap ware on it. That is the delay.

If these morons at Verizon wait long enough, we’ll be at CES where another slew of ICS phones will ne announced and cut Nexus sales. I’ve never seen a release so badly handled. Verizon blames it on Samsung, buy Samsung says it’s up to Verizon when to release. The phones are ready

Who do I believe? What’s in it for Samsung to lie and hold it back? They don’t have Droid Razrs to unload.

I’m writing this comment on my Nexus Prime (UK based) and I must say it’s the best phone I’ve ever used. It blows the Iphone 4s out of the water. It faster then the Samsung Galaxy II and that’s lightning fast. Actually it’s a little too fast at first, it takes a while to get used to it!

I used to work at Verizon Wireless call center and we were pretty tight lipped about everything…they wouldn’t allow us to tell anything to a customer before it was publicly released. It was part of our code of conduct, if any confidential information was released we could be terminated…and yes, they do record EVERY phone call as part of our job coaching. We would listen to many calls a month with our supervisors and if any of that information was heard during a call, it was means for termination…so with that said, I no longer work for Verizon, but I do have some good friends that work there still…and as of this evening, there is nothing listed in the equipment guide (which is something we used to compare specs of different devices we had past and present) regarding the Galaxy Nexus.

The sad thing is, I keep buying into these rumors too, even though I know most of them are just that…a rumor.

Uh, replacement battery covers are much cheaper than buying a whole unlocked phone… I never understood this mentality. I mean I’m sure there will be some verizon crap, which you can turn off (THANK YOU stock ice cream sandwhich) but going off contract and paying hundreds of dollars more to avoid a Verizon logo that you can just order from Samsung is a little silly…

uhhhhh… how fast can Japan’s wireless network go??
i mean if it’s their LTE u talking about (advanced lte won’t be in service any where in the world for quiet awhile….)
it cant be that much different from verizon’s , at&t’s , or korea’s….
i mean none of these LTE network can max out at theoratical speed of 150Mbps (or 75Mbps even…)
i’ve seen lte phones max out at 56Mbps in Korea in certain area. 20~30 Mbps average. at 10s when low.
u saying Japan’s got lte or higher tech that go well beyond 50~60 Mbps ?????

smh if u talkin bout that theoratic max. 1Gbps thingie . which has absolutely no coverage or service for the public what so ever and is still in the developing. i’ve seen news where they were testing that out in korea. hitting real life value of 100~200 Mbps wirelessly or something…. like that. if i remember correctly.. if thats what u talkin about Japan’s out of the world network speed. THAT’s so like 2013-2014. which US will too get…

The 1st is possible. For one, the Razr also went up for pre-order on a Thursday and starting pre-orders on the 1st would give a week for pre-orders if the release is indeed the long rumored December 8th date. That said, I’m not going to get my hopes about any date at this point.

I talked to a verizon employee yesterday.
He said the phone would be on pre-order for December 1st.
I’m not trolling or comfirming anything.
He seemed pretty confident and casual about it though, as if everyone else knew already.
I have faith in his statement.
Again, i’m not lying or anything.
I’m just as anxious as everyone else. :)

Today, our (the company I work for) Verizon, regional account rep. came to our office today to present the VZW RoadMap and to cater lunch. I can’t tell you how much I was looking forward to this day. At the least I expected to be able to play with the Nexus. She didn’t even have a personal or demo Nexus phone. I asked when is it going to be out. She is a super nice and upfront woman, however, she was forced to give me the official response, which is. “We know you guys are looking forward to this device. It will be release sometime soon” There was no wink or nudge to indicate soon really means soon. The release date isn’t looking good. With the included Verizon tramp stamp, I will more than likely purchase the unlocked version. If Verizon is willing to spit on the Nexus brand by adding their tramp stamp. There is no telling what bloatware apps they are adding to the device.

If you go to the Google page for the Galaxy Nexus, and chose the start up video for it, the video shows how to start the phone. So what’s so cool about that? When the video starts, the phone’s backside shows off the Verizon branding with the 4G LTE logo.
