No offense taken. In the end I probably will wait for reviews on it since they are starting to come out already. It just gets frustrating not knowing how long you have to wait, if it will just be a few days or if it is going to be another month.

So your going to buy one of 2 phones because your impatient in waiting for reviews or release of a device in the next week or two. Devices which are going to cost you $300+ dollars. I can't help you there.

The Razrs screen quality and battery have already shown lacking. The 4S has battery and screen size issues of its own.The Nexus's full verizon specs have been listed, including larger battery, and 4g LTE. The galaxy nexus giveaway ends November 21st, and based on previous Google phone giveaways, the pre-order and sale will start soon after.

No one has ever stated delays in the phones release. Even if there were delays, it is not necessarily Google/Samsungs fault, as Verizon could have very well been the culprit. Obviously the phone has been available for release, considering its already passed through the FCC and is already on sale in the UK. I don't understand why you would consider Verizons poor handling of the release a reason to jump ship and buy something else, something that you will have to live with for the next 2 years.

It just shocks me that anyone would make it this far, and then just give up, when a release date and reviews are imminent. Sorry if you took the delusional comment personally as well, I was stating that more to doubters in general, not you specifically.

Honestly, I may buy the Razr or iPhone instead. I have been waiting to get a new phone, but without any kind of definite date available for the Nexus, and rumors varying so much, I may just get what is avaialble now. I guess that I will wait a few days to see what reviews of the phone say.

I dont think that it is delusional to believe that a release date could be postponed or delayed. Look at the Bionic. With the rate that they are developing and releasing these phones, I doubt that they have an exact date for the release of a phone much more than a month ahead. Motorola announced the Razr release date, so maybe they were just more prepared for the release. Verizon sucks at anouncing dates, the phones just seem to show up without anyone at the store having any kind of idea about it.

Its just another marketing schema. Obviously it builds TONS of hype. Look how many hits each new Nexus story gets. It is a totally valid schema. Showing people whats coming a month from now and the exact date, is also a valid schema, but instead of building hype, its more of a "I can't wait til next Friday when I get my new phone" instead of "Holy shit, when this thing hits, I'm throwing my money at it!". I know I'm more excited now, and have visited all these sites, to get the latest details on its release. Without that all of this online banter, which equals greater recognition spread by web/mouth, wouldn't exist.

That said, Samsung/Google have NEVER stated when the phone would be coming to Verizon/the US. People keep stating it like they have been lied to, or are being misinformed. This not the case at all. People are saying that it was delayed, or that there were problems. This is also, in my opinion, a lie. Samsung/Google always knew when the US release would be, they've known for months, that is how corporate product release works behind the scenes. Its not like, HEY we should release it tomorrow, NO NO, next week, OK next week... Anyone who believes this is delusional.

It is/has always been coming whenever they decided months ago. They also already know when/if there will be a presale. They are confident that regardless of how this comes to be, that they will sell sufficient quantities to make a profit, therefore they do not care about releasing said information when the "interwebs" demands them to. Samsung, as part of the deal with Google, also probably requested sufficient time to sell its own products (Note, GSII) before the nexus was released in order to not be overshadowed. In the end, are you going to buy the phone regardless of when it comes out? (and lets be realistic, the release will be end of Nov/beg Dec). I know I probably will...

I dont understand, dont you want to make it known when your product will be going on sale? Why is it a mystery as to when this phone will be available at its respective location? I am on Verizon and the rumors seem to be that it will be available sometimes between this week and January 2026.

You dont know when it is acuatlly going to be released, until it shows up in the stores one morning.

I pre-ordered with Phones 4 u and up until yesterday (Wed) was advised that I would recieve my Nexus today.
I found out through Twitter that this had been delayed by 24 hours due to supply problems. I guess that the handset that was destined for me went to Oxford Street instead?
Seems that Phones 4 u put their store customers ahead of those that had pre-ordered in good faith
