I personally have owned 3 different iPhone’s the first one, 3gs, and the iPhone 4 but was disgusted with apple after the release of the 4s. I was wanting them to come out and compete with androids high end devices however i was let down tremendously. All i wanted was a 4g and a bigger screen not to much to ask for right. No instead they release the same phone with a better processor that doesn’t matter cause they have you on a slow ass 3g network for verizon (i used to be on att until they released the iphone 4 on verizon). which means they want me to be on a 3g phone for the next 2 yrs i don’t think so
. so next years iphone will have 4g and they will call it ground breaking when that technology has been out for 3 yrs smh apple seriously lost a customer forever

Sales don’t equate with quality, it just equates with how many stupid people there are in the world who are prone to marketing. I used to have an iPhone but got sick of this cult like aspect of Apple – not to mention its unethical manufacturing – not to mention its corporate bullying by suing ayone who might contend them – and was stunned at how much I have enjoyed leaving Apple world. I started with a basic Huwawei and havent yet purchased one of these high end androids, but even this has been on a par with my iPhone. And to be freeeeee on an open platform? Amen!! I will never go back. But sure, lots of idiots buy them.

Yeah they did announce that it was supposed to be released on November 17th (in Europe at Least) at the Galaxy Note World Tour in London. After Verizon failed to give a release date, Samasung confirmed that the 17th was still the launch date in Europe. However, it now seems like even Europe will have a delayed release! I don’t know what samsung is doing – it might be a shipping error?

I know nothing more of this feature than any of you–but isn’t the point of recognizing a face based on measuring facial features? such that it shouldn’t matter what “face” you pull–ie, you’re eyes are still the same distance apart, etc. ??

I’m confused, did Samsung ever even give an official release date? Could it be possible that it was planning to be released at the end of the month all along? I mean I know there was that Amazon date, but Amazon has messed up items before (cost, release date, etc.). Its not like Samsung had ever agreed that the 17th would be the day of release? Unless I’m mistaken

I agree with you. I have a friend that works at Costco’s cell kiosk inside the Costco store and he said that his boss told him that it is due to be released the 20th (which is a Sunday, and I’ve never seen a Sunday release). He said that the phone will be release via web sale first before it is in stores (which is another thing I don’t believe…I think Big Red likes the long lines, standing in the cold – great publicity for free). I just know that I have my Dinosaur which is the original Palm Pre which has seemed to become it’s own monster because the screen keeps touching itself and calling everyone, sending texts, and of course, my favorite, calling 911 on it’s own with the emergency call button. Verizon, if your listening, you need to release the phone before I get arrested for calling 911 so much! By the way, where is your biedge bobsbiggerballs, I might be joining you or at least throwing my palm pre from it!

Ha! I’m really not so sure that the face unlock is impacting the release at all. Sure there’s some work to be done there but I don’t see it holding up the phone launch. They could always disable it until they get it dialed in.
