Fujitsu Lifebook T904 ultrabook features convertible 13.3-inch IGZO display

Fujitsu has unveiled several new notebook computers this week including the Lifebook T904 two-in-one convertible. The ultrabook features a 13.3-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440. The high-resolution screen has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a brightness rating of 350 cd/m2.

The ultrabook is a two in one machine meaning that the display can be rotated and laid flat turning the notebook into a tablet. The screen supports touch interface and handwriting recognition thanks to a dual digitizer. The ultrabook is also fitted with a shock sensor to protect the hard drive and optional 4G or 3G connectivity.

The machine has integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This machine is likely to be used in the healthcare setting and the business world so Fujitsu equips the machine with a fingerprint sensor, SmartCard reader, and OPAL encrypted drives. An optional backlit keyboard is available for working in lowlight environments.

The computer runs Windows 8.1 or Windows 7 Pro. It uses Intel Core vPro processors or Intel Core processors with up to 8 GB of RAM. The machine has an HDMI output and VGA output along with multiple USB 2.0 ports. Graphics are handled by Intel HD 4400, and the machine has integrated full HD resolution webcam. The ultrabook will be available starting in mid-October at an undisclosed price.
