Fujitsu LifeBook E8410 has Penryn Inside

Check out the latest offerings from Fujitsu, a new 15.4" notebook with Intel's latest 45nm Core 2 Duo architecture Penryn processors inside. Its being marketed as a desktop replacement notebook which likely means it has some considerable heft to it, but the C2D T8100 2.1GHz Penryn should make it pull a premium on whatever you are doing.

Of course you can also get your choice of Merom core processors, but why peek into the past with one of those? You can also get the top of the line T9300 running at a whopping 2.5GHz.

For graphics you get your choice of integrated X3100 Intel graphics, which aren't bad, or nVidia GeForce 8400M 128MB dedicated graphics card. With either one you get your choice of a WXGA or WSXGA+ display with built in 1.3MP web cam.

You can have up to 4GB of RAM, up to a 160GB HDD, and a DVD burner. You even get a choice in wireless with a standard a/b/g module or another that adds N to that list, other network connections include gigabit Ethernet and a 56k modem (why do they still include those?). For ports, it has 4 USB ports, both PCMCIA and ExpressCard slots, FireWire, VGA and S-Video outs, a serial port, parallel port, and a 3-in-1 card reader.

Surprisingly it comes in at a meager 6.1 pounds with your choice of XP or Vista (I love this about Fujitsu) no word on battery life though. They are available now and one with a Penryn processor starts at $1619, I guess that's the price of power in such a small and portable package.
