I personally use iSyncR for syncing between Android and iTunes. It syncs your smart playlists. It even syncs play count, which isn’t working any more on my iPod.

Robert, you could just admit you misunderstood him. There was nothing in the original comment to imply anything about the nature of DoubleTwist. A simple Google search could have prevented the unnecessary comments.

Android does a better job of syncing with iTunes than iPhone does… try this “http://highwindsoftware.com/” it’s not free, but it will sync over wifi and allow you to select what songs to sync from your phone.

You can even sync over 3G if you tweak the install… BTW, my iPhone just sucks, my Nexus One rocks!

FWIW, Google has already released an updated Finance app that works fine for me on my Froyo-equipped Nexus One. Other apps I had issues with (that have been fixed as well) include: NewsRoom, xScope, Dolphin HD & Handcent.

Doubletwist runs on your desktop/laptop, just like iTunes. It is not in the Market b/c desktop apps do not belong in the Market.

And no, DT isn’t perfect (I’ve filed my share of generally ignored bug reports), but the author claims “there is no easy way to get music from my iTunes library to my Android” and that’s simply not true.

Syncing with iCal is supported within iCal under Preferences–>Accounts using the caldev protocol. BusyCal also enables this functionality but with better fine-grained control. Address Book (Mac) supports contact syncing with gmail contacts. Markspace’s MissingSync for Android can used for tethered or wireless syncing of notes, media, calenders, contacts, etc. As someone else mentioned above, Doubletwist does a good job of syncing media (photos, music, and videos).

Google has a desktop application called Google Calendar Sync that I was using to get my Outlook calendar. Of course I need that less now with Exchange Calendar Sync but it’s still there if you need it.
