I currently own a Palm Pre Plus and I don’t have trouble with the keyboard. I have no idea how to say this without making a “that’s what she said” but..I have big hands and the keyboard works fine.

It definitely takes a bit of practice, and the keys could be “clickier” but overall it’s a good experience. My girlfriend has a Pixi Plus and I have to say, the keyboard on that is amazing. I enjoy the tactile much more than a virtual keyboard, personally.

I can’t wait to see some new hardware but there is nothing wrong with iterating on a 1st gen device. Until we get one in our hands we don’t know about the build quality; hopefully it’s improved just like the Plus improved on the original Pre. If not, then that is a bad sign.

I’m saving my nickels for the first part of 2011. A webOS phone with a fullfeatured/companion tablet would rock my world.

I disagree about the keyboard. I think it is plenty responsive. I rarely mistype, if ever.

in fact, the keyboard is my fav thing about the hardware other than touchstone.

I agree about the OS though. WebOS is a beast.

I could not agree with Michael more! The OS is THE BEST out there. The hardware is THE WORST! Take the PIXI and make it approximately as big as the iphone and you have my money. The cramped keyboards are the problem. Who test runs these things? Webster Popadopalous?

Would someone tell them it wasn’t the OS that failed Palm – it was the shitty keyboard (hardware) that required you to use a finger nail to type. Your going to fail again if the hardware is the same old crap, FYI.
