Fox blocks Google TV

Fox has become the latest network to block Google TV access to their online video content. While there's no official comment from the company as to the change, spotted by GTVHub, it's presumably a move to pressure Google into signing distribution deals rather than relying on semi-freely distributed content.

Fox's decision follows ABC, CBS and NBC's move – among others – to block the Google TV from accessing their content online, despite it being freely viewable in desktop browsers and HTPCs. At the time, insider sources suggested that the networks were concerned over pirated content showing up in Google TV searches.
