		<description><![CDATA[It should be clear through any critical reading that despite what Wallace says, this move doesn&#039;t &quot;complement&quot; the FCC&#039;s broadband plan, it heads it off.  The FCC wants the broadcasters to give the unused television spectrum to them to auction off and add to the wireless data spectrum currently owned by the mobile carriers.  

NBC (who is owned by Comcast-- who notably, recently and successfully sued the FCC) and Fox want to show they&#039;re using the spectrum so they won&#039;t have to give it up to be used for purposes that won&#039;t earn them all those extra viewers and all that advertising money...because we&#039;d all much rather have NBC, Univision and FOX on demand (not to mention local weather) than Hulu, Weather.com and...you know, all the rest of the internet at speeds and mobility befitting a modern society.]]></description>
