This would have been great had they added a motion-charge feature. That would have been great, I'm horrible at remembering to put on a watch in the first place (as I usually have my phone no less than 2ft from me) and if I had to charge it I imagine I would be even worse.

No, the MetaWatch platform does not have a touch screen. Touch is best for browsing through a lot of data on a large display. When you need it, you have a great touch display in your pocket. We believe your watch should things that your phone can't do, in this case a vibrating alert you can't miss, sunlight readability (digital display) and hands-free, glancable information. There are buttons if you need to act on a notification or start a remote action, but they are not required for the main use case.

I have a question, is the watch touchscreen? None of the specifications clarify. If it isn't, how could you justify it NOT being touchscreen? If it's supposed to be a computer on the wrist, touchscreen (even resistive) is a must!

Both the analog-digital and digital development platforms use a rechargeable battery.
