With service getting cheaper, I'm torn between CAble internet, half a T-1, or full blown T-1. I can actually get about a T-1 for 100 bucks a month....what do you guys think?

T1 is obsolete, some cable or DSL provider goes to 6Mbps already. If you can get verizon FIOS, it would be the best choice, 40+ bucks you can get 15Mbps

T1 actually has some benefits that would only be realized by business users. The T1 is dedicated 1.54Mbps in both upload and download. For serving purposes, cable might be 6Mbps down, but only 512Kbps up, so it's slow serving websites and T1 is faster. T1 is also dedicated, and is not shared with other users. Also, Verizon Fios has terms on what you can use it for, and if you download too much and upload too much, they will limit your connection. I think they also have a problem if you serve files through it.

It truly depends what you are using it for, I guess would what it comes down to...
I don't do hosting from my house so I wouldn't really need that fast of a connection as Cable is fast enough for my uses.
