Hey guys, what's your overall experience with skype?
I find it, hard to use. I mean, I have 2 VOIP phones, and only 1 will ring at a time, theres no call waiting (available on my handsets...) I know you can "pause calls" in skype. And your PC has to be on to use it. I can't wait for the day when they create a standalone machine (similar to a router) that just runs skype... that would be great. Receive calls 24/7!

In terms of call quality... I think it's ALRIGHT. It won't work unless you have a decent broadband connection. I find it uses a LOT of data. It's not that my data is limited, just I download a lot of stuff. So I can't really talk while downloading at like ~800Kbps (Which is when my line starts to hit the limit....) theres not really an extra 100 or so that skype can use.

... I disagree.
If you take into considering, that normally when my connection is unused (i'm not downloading as stated before...) it is fine. But some times (Weekends) the servers get very high-traffic and slow themselves down.
Therefore it is skype. I'm upset they discounted free outgoing North America calling! :(

It's really too bad they now charge $25/year for free canada/usa calling. I liked it when they offered it free!
