So I've been hearing and seeing ads for voicemail replacements like youmail and grandcentral. I'm a little weary of how it works or how much it actually is beneficial. I just want my voicemail to keep a time/date record (for some reason it doesnt... stupid cingular/att) anyone have any one of these services? any reviews?

Try youmail at
www.youmail.com
Free voicemail replacement for cingular/verizon/att etc... voicemail.
It allows you to:
-keep your exisitng cell #
-personalize greetings for any caller
-upload pre-recorded greetings
-check voicemails online *very cool*
-forward voicemails as email attachments
i know they're currently in in beta and that the basic service they have now will stay free.
they've gotten really good write-ups.

ha! thanks phonehead, now i can actually tell when a voicemail was left, actually this youmail is kinda above and beyond, but its sick none-the-less. I'm gonna set up different voicemail messages for my friends and weird them out.

That's pretty tight, I would use it but my carrier doesn't let me have call forwarding unless I pay them $5 extra. Which is outragious...

Actually, that's not bad at all. Here it costs more than that! Precious airtime.

Well I'm already paying $55 bucks a month so I guess I'll need to stick with no call forwarding... :-P
